Employee Spotlight: Rahul Patel
Discover more about our team and culture through our monthly Employee Highlights. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Rahul Patel, a vital part of our design and development crew. We had the opportunity to talk with him about his background and experience at Nutech.
Rahul is an expert in web design and development. He began his journey with Nutech Digital in May 2022 and has since been an integral member of our team since.
I’m able to push my limits (at Nutech Digital) through a wide variety of tasks. I’m always given the opportunity to explore more skills.
What do you do at Nutech?
I started at Nutech Digital a couple years ago as a web designer and developer, and for the most part, I still do that now. My primary responsibilities include the entire process of web development, starting from communicating with the client, then drafting a website design. Usually, the design will get revised a handful of times by the client and our team. Once the design gets approved, I then develop the website using WordPress and Divi.
During this process my responsibilities also include handling Google listings and SEO tasks using various softwares such as Semrush. Once a website is finished and live, I also oversee its management and maintenance, which involves updating content, conducting backups, security audits, and monthly SEO checks.
My role extends to our software team as well, where I collaborate on designing the user interface and user experience of our products. Finally, I also create social media content for some of our clients.
What do you like about your job?
Being a part of Nutech has been a great opportunity for me to gain experience in all IT-related fields. Nutech has given me the ability to work on diverse tasks, which include (but are not limited to) handling IT tickets, setting up business phone systems, working with clients and helping them solve technical issues. This especially has allowed me to improve my communication skills.
As you can tell, I operate with many roles at my job. I’m able to push my limits here through a wide variety of tasks and I’m always given the opportunity to hone more skills. This has been one of my favourite parts of working at Nutech. In the last two years, my work load has really opened up many avenues for me to explore, and this ability to grow is what makes my time at Nutech the most rewarding.
When you’re not at work, what could you be found doing?
When I’m not in the office, you can most often find me hanging out with my group of friends; chatting, laughing and just having a good time. I really enjoy the sport of cricket, and catching up on matches is one of my favourite activities. I also watch movies frequently. I’m a fan of cinema and appreciate many different films. I don’t have a favourite genre, I think I can enjoy all types and themes. They’re a great way to unwind and entertain myself.
